2013-2014 Instructional Materials:
The middle school unit revisions for the first unit of each grade level have been posted. It is your responsibility to review all materials before purchasing any books or teaching the lessons. These lessons are not required by the GaDOE and are only intended as an additional resource to support you in your classroom. Please check each grade level landing page for continued posting of new materials. You may access those grade level pages in the menu to the left, or by clicking on the link below. The original 2012-2013 Sample Unit Frameworks are also available for your review. We welcome revised or new units that systems may wish to share, and we also recommend that you check out some of the excellent unit plans and lessons available through our partner Common Core states. All resources are provided simply for your reference and evaluation; none are required or mandated.

Online sources to find informational texts and lesson ideas on how to use them; plus, tutorials for using Galileo, the best source for these types of materials.
Listen to the writers of the standards talk about how the standards approach writing. Also watch a video of a teacher work through teaching students how to create an augmentative essay.

Georgia educators discuss how they planned, taught, and assessed CCGPS in the first semester of 2012. Go to Georgiastandards.org to download documents discussed in the Prezi.
